3 questions from "what we talk about when we talk about love"
7) Terri is cynical about such new love. Is she correct? Is it her experience in life
that makes her think this way? I think Terri is incorrect, she feels that abuse is an ultimate part of a relationship. I also think that Terri thinks this way because she was in an abusive relationship. A cynical belief that Terri has is that you accept love no matter how it is given. Even if that means you almost lose your for it .
10) Mel tells the story about the old couple surviving a car wreck. The old man is
depressed because he can’t see his wife. Mel doesn’t understand that. What do
you think this says about the character of Mel? Can you understand the love the
old man had for his wife? Mel's idea of love is in comparison to a routine that never changes. he has this reasoning that things are ONLY, {good} when they are and that they change just like time. his character can definitively support his view in the sense that he went from being a priest to a doctor, even dreams of being a knight and would consider being a chef. To sum it all up, Mel cannot understand the old couples love because either he has not experienced that kind of love in the sense of having assiduity with which he could love, or either he just doesn't love on such a deep platform as the old man apparently does.
6) The new couple, Nick and Laura, touch each other, smile often, and act like they
are “in love”. What do you think about Laura assuring that Nick and herself
really know what love is? I feel that Laura just wants to assure people that their [love] is genuine. When you are [newly] in love , so many people doubt the longevity of the relationship and the results that your relationship will bring. You often have to prove to people that you are actually happy in love. The comment Terri made saying that things will change soon or later was a challenge to the testament of nick& Luara's relationship. New couples are always faced by adversity, I just think that's how it goes.

Love comes in all shapes in forms, but the greatest love is the kind the paralyzes you with ecstasy and happiness
